Kepware Server EX Timestamps

Does the timestamp for a value change when the quality changes?

This can be when the quality goes from Good to Bad as well as when it goes from Bad back to Good

Hi There,

The timestamp reflects when the driver has successfully detected a change in value or quality.  If the quality of a tag is determined to be bad, then yes, the timestamp of the client notification is updated to indicate that the driver was unable to receive a proper update from the target device at that time.  The server will update the quality and timestamp to the client notification, but continue to provide last known value until the connection is restored and the quality is returned to good.

Thanks Akshara, does the timestamp also change when the quality returns to Good?

Yes, it will.

KEPServerEX notifies the client when Kepware can read the tag again.
