Is it possible to extract all the ConfigStrings for my gateways?

Hi,

 

We have (probably a fairly unique) issue with our Gateways, allowing users to incorrectly input the hostname for a connected asset, we can easily see this on the "Managed Assets" page from a gateway by looking at the Configuration entry, for example:

 

ConfigString: IPAddress=192.168.30.4,host=incorrectHostname


Does anyone know of any views, reports or API's for extracting all those config strings so that i can build a report of Assets that require remedying (As a one time job).

 

Any Tips welcome!

We have a similar demand!

Anybody out there who knows the API well enough to tell us if there is any way to access ConfigString data via the API.

We are on 6.1.6 but are just migrating to 6.8.

Hi Nikolaus,

I never did find a way, and came to the conclusion it wasn't exposed in the 6.6 API, it may well be in 6.8 however I don't have a copy of those javadocs (I believe they are obtainable from your instance post upgrade).
