ThingWorx Composer doesn't start

What may be the cause of the following:

After the initial install, the link localhost:8080/ThingWorx only shows the front page of the Composer (index.html), but doesn't come even to the authentication.

The browser reports this error:

Hi George,

ThingWorx does not support IE8 at design time, only runtime (this information is available from the System Requirements document on the Downloads page). As such, you won't be able to access Composer using IE8. You'll need to upgrade to at least IE9 or better yet, switch to another browser entirely.

Regards,

Adam
