Is there a way to retrieve users' additional attributes from an Active Directory / LDAP ?

Hello,

We need to retrieve some users' attributes from an active directory.
This LDAP is not used for authentication, only for people management. Currently, the users are created dynamically thanks to the ptc-identity-provider-authenticator, but this could change in the future to a custom authenticator also creating users dynamically.

I saw the Directory Services template that can be used for authentication, but did not see anything to only use this for making request in the LDAP.

I believe a partner Callisto created something along those lines.

of course if your LDAP supports REST API you can interact with it that way.

Yes, Callisto created something...not sure how specific it is to ThingWorx ; regardless, that would be worth looking into first step.  Duke Sullivan is their partner manager (currently) within PTC.  Duke Sullivan​
