How to show custom message to user, if selected time series chart data is empty?

Hi,

We are binding time series chart with stream data, we  are passing start date and end date to service. Some times chart shows red color symbol if data is not available for selected interval.

Is there any way instead of showing this red symbol can we show message/alert that says " No data available for selected interval".
