Questions about IoT remote control and monitoring system construction.

Are there any hardware requirements for remote control in Thingworx?

Is remote control possible for all devices?

For example, Data can enter the Thingworx on a wired gateway, or wirelessly enter Thingworx.

When coming wirelessly, is remote control restricted depending on the protocol it use?

Note: We are expecting about 1 upload per hour from about 400,000 devices.

seonho Cha​: Yes, data can enter in ThingWorx using wired or wireless network and can be restricted using the communication protocol in use.

I believe you can use our Monitoring -> Remote Things to track of devices but it limits display to 500 devices so you would have to create custom Mashup view for your needs.

There are other services which can be useful available under DeviceFunctions resource like GetUnboundRemoteThings & GetBoundRemoteThings
