Can we change the layout of existing mashup

How can we make changes in layout of the existing mashup.

For example already one mashup is there, if I want to add any layout top,bottom,left and side then how could we do that. actually I tried but there are some limitations like cannot add any layout complete left side and top. it is very painful to design the complete layout from scratch for every updates or adding the new functionality or modification of the mashup.

If you want to add a new layout on-top of an existing one, what do you need to do it's to cut existing layout with the scissors, add new layout and paste where you want to add the old inner layout, all the bindings will be preserved.
