missing ConnectionServicesExtension AWS IoT Connector

I'm seeing following error while trying to start the AWS Iot connector service (ThingWorx-AWS-IoT-Connector-1-2-0):

[main] ERROR c.t.c.PlatformExtensionBootstrapImpl - Extension ConnectionServicesExtension needs to be installed, but cannot be found

I did download the ConnectionServicesExtension-1.4.3.jar (from protocol-adapter-toolkit-1.0.3) package and placed it under /connector/lib folder where all the other JAR files are at.

Please assist.

Deploying extensions is done inside the ThingWorx application

1. Download the extension ZIP
2. Extract the zip
3. Open Extension folder and do NOT unzip the files in the folder
4. Import ConnectionServicesExtension and then AWS Connector making sure you select Import option Extension.

Could you please clarify where this extension is to be imported (AWS Connector machine or in ThingWorx)?

Also, would help if you can please point me out to the exact download link.

And lastly,  are these steps in the online documentation that i'm following?

 The extensions are imported into your ThingWorx instance
