What's New in Vuforia Expert Capture 3.12.0

Vuforia Editor

  • Pass/Fail States Column Renamed in Step Check Settings
    • The column previously named PASS/FAIL STATES in the Step Check Settings table has been renamed to PASS/FAIL CAPTURES. Therefore, instead of displaying the number of training images, the number of captures will be displayed. A capture is comprised of one training of a pass or fail state. For example, each time a new dome of hexagons is shown during Guided training, a new capture starts. A new capture also begins for every execution of a step when Continue Training is enabled.
    • Note: Similarly, the number under the Pass and Fail thumbnails will also now display the capture count.

Vuforia Vantage

  • iOS
    • iOS/iPadOS 17 is now supported.
    • iOS/iPadOS 15 is no longer supported.
    • If tracking becomes unreliable (not lost) during Step Check training, training is paused, the dome stops appearing, and a Tracking is unreliable message appears.
    • For steps with Step Check enabled, the augmentation that helps guide users to the correct angle is now always displayed when the point of interest is out of camera angle.
    • Note: The augmentation is not displayed when Step Check is in Setup mode.
  • Android
    • Android 14 is now supported.
    • If tracking becomes unreliable (not lost) during Step Check training, training is paused, the dome tiles stop appearing, and a Tracking is unreliable message appears.
    • For steps with Step Check enabled, the augmentation that helps guide users to the correct angle is now always displayed when the point of interest is out of camera angle.
    • Note: The augmentation is not displayed when Step Check is in Setup mode.

    • Note: The updates above will also be reflected in exported reports.

      • Email
      • Role
      • Event Type
      • Procedure
  • Ability to Select Additional Columns to Display in Audit History Table
    • In the Audit History table, users can now select additional columns to display in the results table.
    • Note: Adding an additional column will also expose an additional filter for the associated column.
  • New Audit History Events
    • In the Audit History table, the following new audit history events are now recorded and displayed:
      • When Administrators makes changes to values on the Product Settings page
      • When Administrators select Enable Update on the Product Updates page
    • Note:
      • The events will be displayed in the user interface, but will not be included in the Audit Trail report. A message has been added to the cover page that indicates that these events are not included in the PDF report.
      • The new events started being recorded at the time of the 3.10.0 release; however, they will only be exposed in the Audit History table after the 3.12.0 release.
