The IoT Management Apps includes a Create Asset option in the Asset Monitor app. If you have not installed the Remote Access & Control or Software Content Management extensions, the Asset Type menu will be empty out-of-the-box. This menu is controlled by the PTC:AssetType tag. If you want your custom Thing Templates to appear in this menu, you just must add the PTC:AssetType tag to the Thing Template.
If you have installed the Remote Access & Control or Software Content Management extensions, those templates will automatically show up in the menu since they are already tagged appropriately.
