Mashup redirecting to Thingworx index page incorrectly

Hi Experts,

I have SSO based authentication for Mashup login and whenever timeout happens and refreshes the mashup it redirects to https:Host:port/Thingworx/Runtime/index.html instead of intended mashup URL configured in the index.jsp and user has to enter full URL again in the browser.

Note: SSO is disabled while this happens.

Already referred https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS290575 but no luck.

I am not sure of the scenario.

- The Timeout you reference is the user idle session timeout? Where he gets the popup that the page will be refreshed and he needs to relogin?

- You say you have SSO based authentication and then you say you have SSO disabled? Do you have SSO or not?

- Why you have index.jsp adaptions?

  • Yes, its the idle session timeout but strange behavior is that the idle timeout has been set to 24 hours and I am getting random timeouts from the composer and runtime.
  • I have SSO in place but disabled for now.
  • I guess index.jsp came on its own with the Thingworx installation. I have Thingworx 9.3.2b version.

Hi @TanmeyTWX.

Where are you finding the index.jsp file?  If you installed Tomcat manually, you may have some additional apps that are not needed for ThingWorx. Our installer strips those out due to security concerns.

What is your intended long-term use?  If you're planning to use SSO, it would be best to keep it enabled while you're troubleshooting your issues.

Regards.
